London Pre Wedding Photographer at the Savoy Hotel London | Edam & Abigail

As a London pre wedding photographer, I had walked past the Savoy Hotel in Central London countless times -  never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d be photographing a London love story inside the Savoy for my couple: Edem and Abigail.

The Savoy is a luxurious five-star hotel along the River Thames, an unbeatable location near Covent Garden and the most iconic London landmarks. Located in the Strand in the City of Westminster in central London, it was super easy to get to via the London Underground - a few minutes walk from Embankment Station.

For our London Love story photoshoot session, we started off our session near the Savoy in the Strand area, taking advantage of the super instaworthy streets. It also helped loads that Edem and Abigail were naturals in front the camera - the complete power couple. I mean, just look at the photos!

The Strand has a slight reminiscent of Regents Street - another favourite location of mine! We were able to catch the last of the golden hour before the sun disappeared for good, making use of the London buses and black taxis as an iconic backdrop. As a wedding photographer London offers a vast amount of choice in terms of locations which works well in my favour!

The main entrance of the hotel itself is remarkable - from the decor, architecture and the overall vibes, there is undoubtedly an air of class and decorum. As a London pre wedding photographer, this was the perfect location for my couple- the Savoy being a perfect mixture of elegance and sophistication and the most incredible backdrop for my London love story photoshoot session.

As we entered the Savoy Hotel, it was a truly breathtaking experience - even the bathrooms were stunning! Edem and Abigail had a private dinner reservation booked for their anniversary celebration at the Savoy Grill located inside the Savoy hotel, and the staff were more than welcoming.

While waiting for their private room to be prepared, we made the most of the foyer / concierge area at the Savoy Hotel. The interior is absolutely phenomenal and is decked with art pieces, shimmering chandeliers, polished wood, burnished mirrors, candles and super comfy couches. The dark mood lighting sets the tone for the night - a classic retreat in one of London’s most high end hotels. What better way to spend your time in London?

The Savoy Grill was just as phenomenal, where we took some paps before we were called into their private dining area inside the hotel’s infamous restaurant. The Savoy Grill is a fine dining restaurant, with the main dining area set in the backdrop of an elegant Art Deco dining room. It is one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants, and has been quoted to be the ‘very definition of gourmet glamour.’

Once the room was ready, we had a very kind hostess lead us all the way through the chefs kitchen (which was a super cool experience, I must say!) to Edem and Abigail’s private room located inside the kitchen of the Savoy Grill. I was able to witness Edem and Abigail’s love for one another, from the way they looked at one another to the way they held each other - that’s why I love capturing love stories in London! An utterly incredible experience third wheeling Edem and Abigail, which reminds me just how much I love my job as London wedding photographer. Oh, and MUM, I GOT TO PHOTOGRAPH AT THE SAVOY HOTEL! Words I never thought I’d say.
