Destination Wedding Photographer at the Eiffel Tower, Paris | Michaela

As a destination wedding photographer, I love following where my camera takes me (as cliched as it sounds!) and when Paris, France was the destination, I was all ears. With a dream team featuring Michaela our incredible bride, and Casey Jeanne and her incredible bespoke bridal dress, it was a match made in heaven.

As a destination wedding photographer, the most beautiful part of this Paris elopement photoshoot was the coming together of the different countries. Michaela is originally from America - Michigan to be precise, whilst Casey Jeanne and her bespoke bridal boutique is based in South Africa. We were all temporarily in Paris, but our paths crossed and we were able to create the most incredible destination wedding photos as a team.

We had a super cool team: Michaela is an incredible musician at Canceled Plans Music, who creates super cool music which you should check out here. As for Casey Jeanne, she is a Durban wedding dress designer and based in South Africa. She creates bespoke bridal pieces for the self-assertive bride and you should check out her gorgeous dresses here

We started bright and early in the morning, where we took a photowalk in Paris, and navigated through the most incredible Paris hotspots. It was early morning and it was freezing, but nothing could stop us.

Bir Hakeim bridge was out first stop, and as a Paris elopement photographer, I had to make the most of this incredible bridge and its architecture. Made of steel, I later found out that the Bir Hakeim bridge is one of the most iconic hotspots in Paris. Check out Michaela looking absolutely flawless in Casey Jeanne’s dress.

We then headed to the infamous Eiffel Tower to Trocadero, joking around that Michaela was our runaway bride. Despite it being barely 9am, the Trocadero view of Eiffel Tower was packed already - Casey had to quickly snag the prime spot before anyone else could take it from us! If that isn’t being dedicated to the cause, I don’t know what is. As a destination wedding photographer, I have always dreamt of an elopement photoshoot in Paris - it was pretty cool when I was able to bring this dream to life!

Whilst chatting away about life and travels and what we have planned, we roamed around the Eiffel Tower to get the best angles, and live our best Parisian lives. We had timed it so this sunrise shoot would have the most incredible golden light, and we were not disappointed AT ALL. The flares and the golden yummy light the sun gave us was perfect, and as a destination wedding photographer, I loved every part of it.

I love being a travelling photographer - I get to meet the most incredible people and work with absolute dream teams. Destination wedding photos are absolutely priceless - especially if your wedding day is super jam packed and you don’t have the schedule to fit in time for any wedding photos. Paris is such a gorgeous setting, and such a dreamy location for any paris elopement photographer or paris wedding photographer.

See you soon, Paris.
