London Photographer at Bobby Fitzpatrick | Samantha Kilford

I had never been to Bobby Fitzpatrick in West Hampstead in London before, so when Sam hit me up to go for a photoshoot there, I was stoked! The interior was every bit a photographer in London would marvel over - featuring both retro and whimsical 1970s decor whilst also incorporating a more 21st century vibe.

Bobby Fitzpatrick is a pizza, cocktails and rum bar a 5 minute walk away from West Hampstead tube station on the Jubilee line. It is a definite hidden gem in this part of North West London - super cosy and has been described as a ’70’s paradise.’ To top it off, the people who run it are super nice and friendly.

There are two floors at Bobby Fitzpatrick and when I walked in, I was immediately drawn to the retro themed kitchen on the ground floor. It is a remake of a 1970s kitchen - and so realistic too! As a lifestyle photographer in London, this definitely wasn’t a regular everyday location for me - I loved it! Sam absolutely killed it in her first outfit - a super cute blue checkered co-ord set which she rocked.

As we made our way downstairs, I couldn't help but marvel at the orange retro wallpaper and many intricacies Bobby Fitzpatrick had paid attention to, aesthetics wise. They have placed a vintage tv by the stairs for all those #gram shots - super instaworthy. Make sure to stop by and get your paps! Oh and if you need a photographer in London, you know where I’ll be.. ;)

The downstairs section is split in half: half of it features a more modern and boho interior which any plant and nature lover will love. I especially loved the brick walls and how they look in the photographs!

The other half of the downstairs section featured more 1970s decor, lined with more yellow wallpaper (similar to the vibe on the ground floor) and a retro telephone which we obviously made the most of! As a London lifestyle photographer, I love scouting cool spots and making the most of them - Bobby Fitzpatrick had a genius combination and mixture of both modern, and retro.

Bobby Fitzpatrick were so kind to let us have unlimited use of the area for two hours - all to ourselves! On the outside, this eatery is very unassuming, but it was perfect for our London photoshoot, where we went for a more editorial look, being inspired by vogue fashion shoots. Sam was the perfect person and gal to work with - a complete natural with the camera. I’ve definitely taken a few tips on for myself… Oh and give Sam’s blog a read! She is a literature and lifestyle blogger, and also pretty dang cool if I do say so myself.
