London Photographer at Maleficent: mistress of evil red carpet premiere | October 2019
As a London Photographer, I recently got to experience the London red carpet at the BFI IMAX at London Waterloo where I was hired to grab some paps at the European Premiere of Disney’s Maleficent: mistress of evil film.
It was a really surreal experience - a lot of screaming, squealing and crowds everywhere. Rows and rows of private cars carrying the Maleficent: mistress of evil stars would accumulate hundreds of people swarming at once to get a peek of the actors, followed by a tirade of mobile phones going in the air to grab some quick paps of them.
My favourite memory has to be when Angelina Jolie got out her car, and this guy yelled ‘she’s so fit, she’s even more fit in person OMG.’ And you know what? I have to say I agree.
The overall buzz and energy was infectious and as a London Photographer, I seriously loved every minute. Oh, and did I mention, a lot of pushing and shoving as you got closer to the London red carpet? At one point when I was making my way inside the premiere and through the crowds, I felt like mama bear protecting her kids (okay fine, camera).
